2015-06-24_21.32.32Please find a list of duaas which I encourage everyone to say especially in this blessed month of Ramadan.

The Prophet of Allah sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam narrated, “When those deserving of Paradise would enter Paradise, the Blessed and the Exalted would ask: Do you wish Me to give you anything more? They would say: Have You not brightened our faces? Have You not entered us into Paradise and saved us from Fire? He (the narrator) said: He (Allah) would lift the veil, and of things given to them nothing would be dearer to them than the sight of their Lord, the Mighty and the Glorious.” [Saheeh Muslim]

The Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam narrated this duaa in a hadeeth in Sunan an-Nisaa’i (authenticated by Shaykh Albaani):

Allahumma Innī As’aluka Ladhdhata an-Nazari ilā Wajhika wash Shawqa ilā Liqā’ik

O Allah, I ask You for the delight of gazing at Your Countenance and the eagerness of meeting You.

Dua 2

In a Saheeh (authentic) hadeeth in Sunan Ibn Maajah, A’ishah radi Allahu anha narrated that the Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam taught her this duaa:

Allāhumma Innī As’alukal-Jannaħ Wa Mā Qarraba Ilayhā Min Qawlin Aw Amalin Wa Aūdhu Bika Min-Nāri Wa Mā Qarraba Ilayhā Min Qawlin Aw Amalin Wa As’aluka An Tajala Kulla Qadā’in Qadaytahu Lī Khayran

O Allah, I ask You of Paradise and every deed or speech that will be a means of drawing near to it; and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and from every deed or speech that will be a means of drawing near to it; and I ask You that You make whatever You have decreed for me a means of good.

Dua 3

The Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam narrated this duaa in a Hasan (good) hadeeth in Tirmidhi and Ahmad:

Allāhumma Innī As’aluka hubbaka Wa hubba Man Yuhibbuka Wa Hubba Amalin Yuqarribunī Ilā Ḥubbika

O Allah, I ask You for Your Love, and the love of whoever loves You, and the love of deeds that will bring me closer to Your Love.

Dua 4

In Saheeh Muslim it is related that Abdullah ibn Mas’ood radi Allahu anhu narrated that the Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam used to supplicate,

Allāhumma Innī As’aluka al-Hudā Wat-Tuqā Wal-Afāfa Wal-Ghinā

“O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, abstinence (from the unlawful) and modesty, and contentment and sufficiency.”

Duaa 5

The duaa of Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu. In a hadeeth in Saheeh Bukhari and Muslim, he narrated, “I asked Allah’s Apostle sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam to teach me an invocation so that I may invoke Allah with it in my prayer. He told me to say,

Allāhumma Innī dhalamtu Nafsī dhulman Kathīran Walā Yaghfirudh Dhunuba Illā Anta Faghfir Lī Maghfiratħan Min ‘Indika Warḥamnī Innaka Anta Al-Ghafūrur Raḥīm

“O Allah, Indeed I have wronged myself excessively, and none can forgive sins except You, so forgive me out of Your forgiveness, and have mercy on me. Truly, You are the Oft- Forgiving, the Most Merciful.”

Duaa 6

In a narration recorded in Muslim, Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) reported that the Prophet used to supplicate:

Allahumma aṣliḥ lī dīn al-lathi huwa ‘iṣmatu amrī, wa aṣliḥ lī dunya-ya al-lati fīhā ma’āshī, wa aṣlih lī ākhirati al-lati fīhā ma’ādī, wa-ja’al al-ḥayāta ziyādatan lī fī kuli khayr, wa-ja’al al-mawta rāḥatan lī min kuli sharr

O Allah, set right for me my religion which is the safeguard of my affairs. And set right for me the affairs of my world wherein is my living. And set right for me my Hereafter to which is my return. And make the life for me (a source) of abundance for every good and make my death a source of comfort for me protecting me against every evil.

Duaa 7

Remember to recite this 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the evening for protection from all evil.

Bismillaahil-lathi la yaDorro ma’asmehe shay’on feel-ArDe wala fees-samaa’ wa who-wa As-samee’o Al-Aleem.

Duaa 8

“Our Lord! Bestow on us from our spouses and our offspring who will be the comfort (Literally: the coolness) of our eyes, and make us leaders for the righteous” – Surat Al-Furqān 25:74.

Duaa 9

Ali radi Allahu anhu narrated that the Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam used to recite this duaa in his prayer before saying the tasleem:

Allāhummaghfir Lī Mā Qaddamtu Wa Mā Akhkhartu Wa Mā Asrartu Wa Ma A’lantu Wa Mā Asraftu Wa Mā Anta A’lamu Bihi Minnī. Antal-Muqaddimu Wa Antal-Mu’akhkhiru Lā Ilāha Illā Anta

“O Allah! Forgive me what I have done in the past, and what I will do in the future, and what I have concealed, and what I have done openly, and what I have exceeded in, and whatever You are More Knowing of than I. You are the One who Brings Forward, and You are the One who Delays, there is no (true) diety except You.” (Ahmad, Saheeh)

The Messenger of Allah sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Allah, the Exalted, stretches His Hand during the night so that those who commit sins by day may repent, and He stretches His Hand in the day so that those who commit sins by night may repent. He keeps doing so until the sun rises from the West.” [Muslim]
