is a Scottish-Pakistani author who has written books for adults and children on a variety of topics such as self-love, relationships, hijab, women empowerment via faith and more.

She aspires to write memorable books children can take into their adulthood to inspire self-confidence and conquer self-doubt and fear. Maryam views her writing as her service to humanity and as her connection to the world.

Her goal is to change the world one book at a time In Sha Allah. She writes to inspire a generation of women and children from diverse backgrounds to believe in themselves, to dream big and strive to be their very best. She believes children should be reflected in the books they read in terms of their faith, ethnicity and abilities. She strives to portray a true representation of the richness of the Muslim faith through promoting anti-racism and addressing Islamophobia via storytelling.

Maryam is a wife and mother to four brave hearts who inspire her every day. She enjoys going for morning walks by the beach, baking with her children and finding beauty in the simple things in life.
